Afro Fashion Night

We are pleased to invite you to the African Fashion Night in Zurich, which will take place at the famous Kunsthaus from May 19-21, 2023. This three-day event celebrates African culture, fashion, and sustainability and promises to be an unforgettable experience.

On Friday, May 19, we will kick off with the Kanangayi Business Symposium & Networking Event, where we will explore business sustainability. This will be followed by a screening of the film "THEO" by Damien Hauser, a powerful story that caused a storm in the Swiss media and deals with sexuality and its transgressions. The evening will conclude with our insider highlight, the Hannimanns Trunk Show, an installation between fashion and art, combining models and luxury African brands. The night will end with an after-party with live DJs.

On Saturday, May 20, the main event will take place - African Fashion Night. This day will be filled with activities such as a boutique market, Afro food, live Afro hair shows, and a cocktail bar with live acts. The highlight of the evening will be the fashion show, where luxury African designers will present their exclusive works on the catwalk. You will also have the opportunity to meet artists, designers, and models, and the evening will end with our epic after-party.

On Sunday, May 21, we will have a Family Sunday with activities for all ages, including a boutique market, Afro-food, music, entertainment and workshops for children. The day will include an interactive musical theater performance by TANTE CARMEN, a children's fashion show and dance performance by Café au Lait, and a painting workshop for children with Sahra Basyouny. There will also be face painting, games, stories and more for the whole family.
